George's grandson Leo Salmon worked for George and decided to form a new company with cousin Don Barbiaux named Hwy 29 Sausage Co. In the mid 1960s, Leo started Salmon Meats in Luxemburg. Sons Gary and Glenn joined the firm in 1975. Salmon specializes in smoked and fresh sausage for wholesale and retail sales. Salmon's most notable product is their famous Natural Casing Wiener.
